Dave and Peggy Jones are the founders and directors of TeamMates in Ministry, Inc., a unique, refreshing hospitality/encouragement ministry that was launched in 2004.

Upon graduation from Wheaton College in 1965, David joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ. His first year assignment was the University of Texas. His second assignment was directing the ministry at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, where he met and fell in love with Peggy. After their marriage in 1967 Dave and Peggy ministered together with Crusade (CRU) for another 7 years, in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Arrowhead Springs, California, serving as “chaplain” to the Headquarters Staff.

In 1974, Dave was called to serve as an associate Pastor at a thriving church in Northern California, where he focused on pastoral care, marriage enrichment, teaching and counseling.

In June of 1983, the Jones Family moved back to the Atlanta area, to plant Gwinnett Community Church, a non-denominational Bible church. Dave served there as Senior Pastor for over 20 years. Early in 2004 the church officially released and commissioned Dave and Peggy to launch TeamMates in Ministry with the biblical mission:

TO LAVISH THE LOVE OF GOD ON THE SERVANTS OF GOD SO THEY CAN BE REFRESHED TO BETTER FULFILL THE CALL OF GOD ON THEIR LIVES.

Family wise, God graciously blessed the Jones’ with their three children, Jonathan, Jennifer and Jeremy, through whom He subsequently enriched them with their 12 grandchildren!

Besides being a ministry wife and a professional Interior Designer owning her own business (Timeless Interiors by Peggy), she has always teamed with Dave in counseling and teaching on marriage and family issues. For over 20 years they were privileged to be part of the Speaker Team for FamilyLife Weekend to Remember Getaways, impacting thousands of couples throughout the United States and beyond.

The scripture that was prayed over Dave and Peggy on their wedding day is one that they pray for every couple who comes through their door. It’s their life’s verse:

“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together with one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6

Throughout their five plus decades together Dave and Peggy have experienced firsthand the agonies and ecstasies of ministry, marriage and life. Their hearts have been especially sensitized to the hurts and hopes of those in ministry. That’s why as long as God enables, rather than retiring, they are offering to pass along to all who are teachable a life-time of experience and wisdom.
